We’d like to congratulate energy efficiency leaders, Charles Sturt University (CSU) for winning the ‘Energy Productivity in Action Business Leader (Commercial) Award’.

The inaugural award was presented at the NSW Energy Productivity in Action Event organised by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH), held in Sydney. The Awards recognise energy efficiency leaders for high achievements in sustainability and energy efficiency.

In 2007, CSU became a signatory to the Talloires Declaration, an international commitment to environmental sustainability in higher education. To reduce energy usage  and improve energy efficiency, CSU implemented university-wide building management information systems, refurbished lighting and installed a co-generational plant. For two specific campuses, Bathurst and Wagga Wagga, CSU in partnership with Conservia has implemented an Energy Performance Contract focused on effective Energy and Water Conservation Measures (EWCMs) to save energy.

Conservia is proud to be a part of energy efficiency leaders CSU’s energy initiative; conducting the energy audits to identify where energy savings could be made and delivering the energy performance contracting project.

Congratulations again to CSU for this great achievement. Your dedication and devotion to energy efficiency is admiration and well deserving of this recognition.
