Established in 2004, the Green Gown Awards have been established as the most prestigious recognition of sustainability best practice within the further and higher education sector. The Green Gown Awards recognise the exemplary sustainability initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges throughout Australasia. Acknowledging all those who have made valuable contributions to energy sustainability in the industry, they exist to give teams and individuals the recognition and platform they need to share their learning and do even more.
The awards provide the opportunity to recognise the exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges and reward their sustainability actions and initiatives. These initiatives are a wonderful example of the responsibilities those in the tertiary education sector are undertaking in creating a better world and a new generation of leaders.
The most prestigious energy sustainability awards scheme in Australasia
The Green Gown Awards Australasia are open to all Australian and New Zealand tertiary education institutions including universities, TAFE, Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITPs) and Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). The Awards are free and open to any institution type or size, apart from the Individual ACTS Award of Excellence which are only available for current ACTS members.
The prestigious Green Gown Awards Australasia Award Ceremony will take place on Thursday 3 November 2016 at the stunning beach front surf club in Mooloolaba, QLD.
